My brother called me the other day to fill me in about his latest adventures in life. I was happily surprised to hear that he had finally met a woman that he thought he could spend the rest of his life with. How amazing is that! Funny thing is that as he began to tell me about her I realized that he had actually never really met her, well, at least not in person. Apparently he had discovered something called Voice Over Internet Protocol or VoiP.
This VoiP allowed him to have conversations over the internet for virtually nothing. So, he had met this woman in a chat room online and they had taken their relationship one step further, they were â??Skypingâ?, meaning that they were vocally chatting online. So, he seriously had never met her, never seen her, and had only heard her voice! This amazed me because this was the same guy who used to cruise for hot chicks in the bar! Now he is telling me that he is in love with some internet woman who he has never seen!
My, how things have changed! He did tell me that they were ready to take the plunge and actually see each other for the first time!
