There is a common misconception that the ability to jump high and spike in volleyball or dunk in basketball is an inborn gift. Anyone who is of average height can increase his or her jumping power enough to become an exquisite jumper through plyometric leg exercises. These exercises tune the leg muscles and the joints to facilitate an above normal jumping ability.
There are a number of these exercises that will assist to increase the height of jumping. Greater success is realized if these exercises are started at an earlier age although it is possible to increase the jump height, no matter the age one starts the exercises. If these exercises are done thrice or four times a week for three weeks, one can increase the height of jumping by up to twice the initial jump height before exercise. However, it is important to note that dedication and patience will prove to be vital in the height increase technique.
