Many in this economy are looking for an affordable cable or satellite TV package. Sure you can get basic cable, but there arenâ??t a lot of channels and without a digital cable box, sometimes the picture quality isnâ??t all that great. Satellite TV isnâ??t that much better, as most of the packages are fairly expensive.
For a while, Dish Network had a pretty good alternative called Turbo HD. Basically, there were three different packages available, all of which offered HD content. In fact, they cut out all of the standard definition programming, and just offered HD only. The good thing about the package is that they didnâ??t have any of the worthless content, like home shopping and religious channels. The price was great too, but it looks like they have eliminated Turbo HD as an option for new customers. Maybe if people keep asking, they will bring it back to the market.
