Generally, there are a lot of Sugar Maple tree species where you can extract maple syrup. These species of trees thrive on rich soils and can endure the cold winter season. Every autumn, the trees provide people a spectacular and sweet treat when the leaves turn to color gold and the sap starts coming out of the bark.
The primary maple syrup-producing tree is the Sugar Maple, or sometimes regarded as Hard Maple. This tree is sure to provide high quality sap. It can grow as high as 100 feet and is loved due to its shade. Aside from making canadian organic maple syrup and giving shade, this tree is also adored due to its production of durable and fine maple wood for making furniture.
The other trees where people can extract sap for maple syrup are the Silver Maple, Ash Leafed Maple and Red Maple. But the Sugar Maple is still the most favored since the sap that comes out of it has a 2% sugar content as opposed to other kinds of maple trees that have only 2/3. Also, the syrup from other kinds of trees is darker and does not taste as sweet as the one from the Sugar Maple.
