There have been some reports from polaris razor owners that it is a law suit waiting to happen. One of the major complaints is that the back tires lock up when the governor kicks in at maximum speed and the driver releases the gas pedal. This can either cause you to flip or spin out – neither of which is pleasant going 55 mph. Fortunately, the roll cage and safety harnesses are top notch or lots of people might be getting killed riding these things. In the past, the Polaris Razor has been a pretty sturdy and reliable ATV, but this definitely puts a chink in their reputation. Polaris did end up recalling the first batch of Razors because of what they described as a shifter linkage failure. The problem was that vibration could cause the transmission to drop into reverse, but it appears that Polaris has taken care of the problem and things are back to normal.
