You may have heard about a new treatment for cellulite using ultrasound technology. Known has Dermosonic ultrasound cellulite treatment, it has been widely available in Europe since 1997 and has only recently been shipped to the United States. It consists of two treatments in order to get rid of cellulite fast.
The first treatment modality is ultrasound. Using a handpiece attached to the Dermosonic machine, the trained beauty therapist sends ultrasonic waves through the skin in the target area. The waves penetrate the fat cells beneath and cause them to split open â?? in effect, liquefying them. The body will then naturally remove the cells through it normal process. The second benefit from the ultrasound waves is their ability to relax the connective bands that clump the fat cell together into small pockets. When these bands harden, they pull on the skin and create the dimples that are commonly associated with cellulite.
The second treatment modality is massage. A handpiece that massages the treatment area with suction is used. This has two main benefits. Firstly, it helps to increase circulation which in turns improves the health and thickness of the skin. Secondly, the increased blood flow assist the body in releasing the fat cells and getting rid of any toxins that are hiding the fat pockets.
