One reason I decided to get rid of Comcast and go to Dish Network was because of their digital video recorder. The Dish DVR has been written up by CNET as one of the best on the market. If fact, CNET put the Dish DVR on par with Tivo.
My old Comcast DVR was not very user friendly. The menus were difficult to navigate and the box seemed to always be freezing up. What really irked me was how much Comcast charges for DVR service, it was somewhere around $15 a month! On the other hand, the Dish DVR is only $6 per month, and it works on two different TVÂ?s in my house. I opted to get a second DVR at that price so that the TVÂ?s the kids watch could also have digital video recorder service. Overall, the Dish Network service is far superior when compared to my old cable DVR.
