Generally, there are a lot of Sugar Maple tree species where you can extract maple syrup. These species of trees thrive on rich soils and can endure the cold winter season. Every autumn, the trees provide people a spectacular and sweet treat when the leaves turn to color gold and the sap starts coming out of the bark.

The primary maple syrup-producing tree is the Sugar Maple, or sometimes regarded as Hard Maple. This tree is sure to provide high quality sap. It can grow as high as 100 feet and is loved due to its shade. The other trees where people can extract sap for maple syrup are the Silver Maple, Ash Leafed Maple and Red Maple. Also, the syrup from other kinds of trees is darker and does not taste as sweet as the one from the Sugar Maple.

Whenever we have a recession like the current one most people start saying that things are never going to get good again and that this is the end of  civilization as we know it.  Of course this is not true and the people who donâ??t subscribe to this view are the ones who end up making a lot of money from the new opportunities that are available.  When ever there is a massive economic restructuring like we see now there is going to be some displacement.

While some think that it was the Native Americans who first discovered maple syrup, another school of thought does not agree and thinks that the Natives did not have the tools and technology to come up with maple syrup or maple sugar.  To them, the fur traders and white settlers who first introduced wooden buckets and copper and iron kettles to the maple syrup process could be the ones that can truly be regarded as the first to have made maple syrup.

    Although the Natives are the ones who showed how to tap the tree and get the sap, the settlers were the ones who really made the process work and came up with the maple syrup as well as high quality maple sugar.  They later had their own way of collecting the sap, by boring holes and then hanging buckets on homemade spouts to gather the sap.

    Today, the developments in the technological aspects of making maple syrup continue, creating things like organic candain maple sugar.  Improvements in the tubing processes also continue.  Some new methods are employed such as “supercharged” pre-heaters, new filtering techniques and better storage procedures.

Use an incline bench if you have one or you can use any regular flat bench. Lie down on the bench flat on your back. Move upwards so much that your upper back goes over the edge of the bench. Let your head fall backwards so that your upper back gets nicely stretched. Stay in that stretched hanging position for about 2-3 minutes. Donâ??t simply get up from that position because your head will be gushing with blood supply. Rest for another 2-3 minutes in a flat position before getting up.
